Meet Desiree *

I’m Desiree Turner, LCSW, and I believe the mind and body heal best together. With advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Heart Rate Variability (HRV) biofeedback, and yoga, I offer clients evidence-based tools and real-time feedback. HRV biofeedback allows you to literally see and feel shifts in your nervous system, reinforcing the progress you’re making in therapy.

I work primarily with high-performing professionals, athletes, and individuals navigating anxiety, burnout, work-related challenges, life transitions, chronic pain, or performance challenges. My approach balances both analytical and intuitive methods, helping you identify patterns that keep you stuck, develop nervous-system regulation skills, and build new ways of thinking and moving through the world.

I also view people within the full context of their lives — environment, relationships, belief systems, and the larger social forces that shape them. This perspective guides my therapy practice: honoring your individuality while acknowledging the systems and stories that influence you.

My own journey through yoga, mindfulness, meditation, and therapy taught me how to regulate my nervous system, stay present, and move through life with greater intention. These practices helped me reclaim control from unhelpful thoughts, reduce dysregulation, and reconnect with my body, deepening my understanding of the mind–body connection. I’m here to help you with your journey.

Whether through evidence-based therapy, mindfulness practices, or biofeedback technology, my goal is to help you experience more clarity, calm, and confidence. Therapy isn’t about fixing you — it’s about helping you access the strengths you already have and using tools that create lasting change.
